These are IATA standard, by the way, and not just related to 747-8s or Boeings as a whole.
Outside of Europe it is more common to see "J" used instead of "C" for Business, but F, W, and Y are pretty universal.
Two additional points are worth noting:
1) "W" is generally used for Premium Economy where there is a hard-product differentiation from Economy (such as BA's World Traveller Plus, Aeroflot's Comfort Class, etc etc). There is no standard code for American-style "economy with extra legroom".
2) These codes refer to Product or Cabin Classes and are distinct from Fare or Booking Classes - for example, an Economy ticket for a Qantas domestic flight will be in the Y cabin, but may be in any one of these Fare Classes depending on price and flexibility: B, E, G, H, K, L, M, N, O, Q, S, V, X, or Y (the latter conventionally being fully-flexible for most airlines).
