Textron released their Q2 earnings today showing continued growth and strong operating margins at textron aviation. My expectation was that we would see an announcement about the Citation Longitude in the earnings to pair with an announcement at Farnborough today. Unfortunately that didn't happen. Anyone know of what could be holding it up at this point? Articles from earlier this year (Q1) quoted talkingheads saying certification was imminent.
Cessna is needing the final Garmin software load. Function and Reliability (F&R) flight testing should start soon, and takes about 2 weeks. System Safety analysis is not yet completed. There are numerous certification documents to be completed and submitted to the FAA for approval. My best guess is that FAA certification will happen sometime in Q4 of this year.

Textron Aviation received FAA Provisional TC on the Longitude today, December 20, 2018.
Textron today announced its Cessna Citation Longitude super-midsize jet has achieved provisional type certification (PTC) from the Federal Aviation Administration. The PTC allows operators to begin Citation Longitude flight training in preparation for deliveries early next year and paves the way for the program’s final phase of certification.
