I've spent enough days in 9Hours in my life that I wouldn't want to fly that way; not to mention the 90 second evac rule. I should note my first impression of this picture when I saw it was the old British sci-fi show, UFO.
With that said, I think all it would take is for one long tarmac delay, or a harder than usual landing for a few pax w/ bad backs to sue to kill such seats pretty quickly. Can't speak for the rest of the world, but I would expect this to be an ADA complacency issue pretty quick, especially for those in wheel chairs.
