BUR or LAX.

Or fly into LGB and drive up the 110.

Use Google maps. There just isn't a super close airport. Welcome to LA traffic.

In exactly what capacity did you need the airport to "serve" Pasadena?

Hollywood Burbank/Bob Hope Airport would appear to be the closest airport to Pasadena, with good ol' LAX a bit further south.

BUR once was called “Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena” airport. So, there you go.

LAX served 84 million passengers last year while BUR served less than 3 million, so I doubt all the airports in the Los Angeles area combined could double the capacity of LAX.

I’m not clear what exactly the OP is asking. If you’re asking for a recommendation of the most convenient airport to fly to get to Pasadena, as the other posters said BUR is the closest.
