Effect of winglets in model-scale

Mon Mar 12, 2018 4:49 pm

Dear Folks,
For my Higher School Certificate I´m writing a project about possible ways to reduce the carbon footprint of aviation. Therefore I also thought of a little experiment, where I want to build a selfmade windtunnel for aircraft-models. In this tunnel I want to find out, if you can see the impact of winglets in model-scale(e.g. A320 without winglets /A320neo).
Do you think this is possible with models in 1:200 scale, or should i try it with just a selfmade winglet and a part of a wing.

Thank you in advance,

Clemens
