A320 cockpit window frames

Hey all!
Maybe an unnecessary question, but I've been wondering this a bit. Why don't some airlines like Lufthansa have the cockpit window frames of their A320's painted as usually? Seems like Airbus inherently delivers A320's with painted frames (just my presumption) so why do some airlines choose not to have them painted? On the whole - what effects does it have to paint them or not? Airbus seems to paint them whereas Boeing not.

Just to make sure I understand what you're asking, you're talking about this gray border around the window glass, like here:




Versus the paint being continuous all the way to the glass, like here:


Just my guess: That is an area that is tough to keep looking good cosmetically. Paint chips off screws, and replacing windshields can mess up a perfect paint job. See what I mean, below. If you paint it all a metallic gray, than if it flakes, you can't even tell.
