Small electrical insulator identification

Mon Oct 23, 2017 2:07 pm

I'm very sorry if this is outside the scope of this forum, but it seems like the ideal place to find someone knowledgeable enough to answer my question.
I've been given an assignment that revolves around the production of a specific piece of ceramic. I asked my professor what he could tell me about it, but all he knew was:
-It's an electrical insulator
-It's used in an aeronautical context
-Is made out of alumina
I've measured it and it's about 25mm wide, with a 7x7mm profile. Any information regarding where it's used or who makes it would be hugely appreciated!
