Wed Aug 16, 2017 12:55 pm

Hi everyone,

Can anyone tell which load factor /cabin factor is typically used when calculating the official fuel burn/pax of an arliner?

Or cargo weight. Or stage length.

Each manufacturer does whatever they want. And what they want is to look better than the other guy.

Most common would be to manipulate stage length to make your plane look better than theirs. But airlines do their own math, in a very detailed way, before making multi-zillion dollar buys. So it's all just marketing hype for the masses who cannot actually buy one anyway.
