And after we fought about that, my volley ended with, "...because Logan doesn't have its own TRACON. Logan is on the Consolidated Boston TRACON." I was recalling something I'd read years earlier and for all I know might not even be true anymore (if it even was when I read it
).Well my forceful inflection and use of recondite jargon surely shut her up, so my only concerns here are:
A) Was I right; is Logan in fact on a Consolidated Boston TRACON (and therefore pilots and controllers say "Boston Approach," not Logan)?
2) What the heck is a TRACON...
