Flight routings to/from Dubai and Yinchuan
Sichuan Airlines Yinchuan service mostly flies to Dubai over Turkmenistan and Iran, rather the through western Pakistan which majority of Northeast Asia Seoul/Beijing/Tokyo/Osaka/Dubai/Doha/Abu Dhabi traffic does go through, today I notice Emirates is taking same path as Sichuan Airlines, while all other Northeast bound flights by ME3 are going though western Pakistan per norm. Why is the routing to Yinchuan different then? on some occassions Sichuan Airlines takes a southern route through India due to weather likely.

Without knowing specifics, all I can say is that the biggest factor that makes routes vary is wind. Just in the opposite direction on the same day may mean a very different routing. Even on a given day, different airlines may use different routes due to different performance if the aircraft involved.. Wind can vary quite a bit depending 'if at 40000 feet or at 30000 feet.

At the tiime of doing the post there were four other EK flights heading Northeast through Pakistan, since Yinchuan is in the same direction as the places they were flying to it seemed odd that EK Yinchuan was going from another direction at that time so weather doesnt seem to be an issue, as mentioned Sichuan Air operate most of their flights through Central Asia and Iran airspace, while Korean and Air China fly to Dubai through Pakistan.
