SAA used to fly JNB-MRU which was about 4 hours, or at least it is in a 738 which they use now.

Soups, how did you find Lotus Air?

I remember reading British Mediterranean's flights from LHR to Central Asia (e.g Yevern, Tblisis) were the longest A320 flights with a flying time of around 7 hours.

Air New Zealand's A320 France-New Zealand delivery flights, particularly the LAX-HNL portion of the trip? I'm sure that would be a contender... It certainly is up there in mileage and en-route flying time.

Air Jamaica still flies A320 MBJ-LAX, don't they-- which is long than any mentioned above. But last time I looked somebody flew an A321 LHR-THR, which is longer still.

Sorry guys, but Horus is correct I think. British Airways / British Med to Addis Abbaba is the longest A320 route in the world, although I believe it stops in Alexandria, Egypt. Their routes to the Former Soviet Republics, to cities suck as Baku, I believe are the longest non-stop A320 routes.

The longest A320 route is BOS-OAK on jetBlue- this has been talked about before. The flight is over 6 hours westbound; around 5 1/2 eastbound. Although, it may just be the longest in the United States, and I think some of these flights that were mentioned before are indeed longer, but I'm not quite sure about that.

London - Addis Ababa is 9hrs 5 mins with the stop in Alexandria, and 9hrs 50 total time on the inbound.

London - Baku is 5 hrs 30 on the outbound, 6hrs 15 on the inbound.

London - Tehran is 6 hours outbound, 6 hrs 30 inbound.

London - Almaty is 9hrs 10 outbound, 9hrs 35 on the inbound, with a stop in Baku.

Although these are probably the longest flights, they are not all non-stop. It has to bea fairly close btwn London - Tehran and the BOS-OAK routes.

Tunisair flies the A320 on :

TUN-BEY-DXB.

TUN-NKC-DAK.

TUN-Bamako-Abidjan.

Nouvelair flies the A320 on :

MIR-HEL.

MIR-OUL.

MIR-TSO.

I do not find these trips too much for the A320 as long as it is in its max.weight range and after all an aicraft is built to fly, within its limits of course, and not to rest at base !!!

What about the 738W HGW range ? It exceedes that of the A320 ?

I seem to remember someone I know saying they flew YYZ - MAN once on an SSV A320.He said they should have been on an A330 but it went tech so they sent 2 A320's, one after the other. He stopped in Gander or Goose Bay I think and then over the pond. I would have thought the A320 could do transatlantic quite easily between places in eastern Canada and Newfoundland. May see this market open up soon.AEU fly the 737-700 from LGW to Deer Lake in Canada, does this mean that this is the only (NONE BBJ or LR OR ALL BUSINESS LAYOUT BEFORE PEOPLE QUOTE THE LH FLIGHTS!!) 737 flight over the atlantic?

From MIA I believe the following long range A320 Routes Exist or Existed:

1. MIA - MANAUS/RECIFE (?) : TAM A320-200
(might have been replaced by A332)

2. MIA - LIM : TACA PERU A320-200
(depending on weather over 5 hours easy)

3. MIA - LAX : USAirways A320-200 (A little over 5 hours)

Lol, you guys are talking about regular flights. 4/5hs is nothing. Countries like US, AUS, Brazil, Russia, fly routes like these regularly. Gulf Air flies Bahrein - CDG with an A320, 7h50. Wow Air flies TLV - KEF, onboard A321, 8h flight. MVD-PTY on a B738 takes about 7h30.
