4 props Looks like baby 747?
I have seen a picture on someones web site long ago of a 4 prop airplane that has the cockpit mounted above the main body. This aircraft looks some what like a baby 747 or what could be jokingly called a 747 trainer. We recently had one here in IND but I only got there in time to watch it lumber off the runway. Any and all info and pictures of this aircraft would greatly be appreciated.

I believe what you are describing is an ATL-98 Carvair, of which there are a few pictures on this site. Do a search on keyword Carvair and you will find them. It appears to be a conversion of a DC-4.

Sounds to me that youare looking for a 'Carvair'. This was (I was told long ago) a modified DC-6. It was, and still is, usaed for hauling cars.
Until last year, there were 2 based in Griffin, GA. One crashed while attempting a 3-engine take-off. The other is currently based at Tara Field, adjacent to the NASCAR track just south of ATL.
I think there are photos available under the 'props' section here at airliners.net. I'll look and get the photo #'s back to you.
