How to get pictures

Tue Dec 15, 1998 11:42 am

I only have a good quality 35mm short zoom Minolta camera. I can't afford a digital one, so how do you get the 35mm looking good real fast?

All comments appreciated

Use good quality 35mm film something like kodak slide film and then scan your photo's so to a jpeg format for down loading. Make sure that you always try and have the sun at your back i know this is not always possible. All my shots are done with a 35mm camera and would have it no other way.Digital cameras are still in their early stages and leave a lot to be desired

Actually you are better off with the 35mm and a scanner, then with a digital camera.

You didn't say if it was an SLR or not. The problem that I always had was that I never had enough zoom with the stock 35-70? MM lens that my Pentax came with. I eventually invested in a 70-300 Sigma and I was really happy with the results when I when to Reno 1996. I use the other lense usually for shooting on the ramp or from inside buildings. I hate pictures that the aircraft is just a little dot!

Seriously though If you can invest in a lens that is in the 35-105mm range then you should be able to capture most of the action at the airport without a lot of trouble. If you are shooting inside the terminal you probably want to invest in some filters since most airports put tinting on the windows. Also if you are shooting aircraft in flight then you want to have a lens hood and a Polorizer is a nesscisity. Both of these will help cut down on the glare from the sun and make the sky actually look blue..... Good Luck!!!
