They did. That doesn't mean they can expand. And it most certainly does not make them the next emirates. Also Iran would be a terrible transit point for female foreigners without modifying laws. The UAE and Qatar are quite conservative but do what's needed to accommodate foreigners. I don't think Iran is ready for that.

And a dozen new ATR's does not equate to a hundred A380's. Because apparently that needs to be said.
