Re: Your 2018 statistics

Mon Dec 24, 2018 2:51 pm

OK, 2018 is one of my biggest travel years, and I am still on the road, so don't have time to look up the mileage, but here goes

Aircraft: NB: 73G, 738, 739, A319, A320, A321, CR2, CR7, C208 --- WB 788, 789, A333 upcoming 77W, 744 (its been like 12-13 years since I've been on a 747)
Only new type is the C208

Shortest flight was just yesterday, on Air Tropic, from Belize Municipal to Belize International, 10km! My shortest flight ever.
Longest flight was on Norwegian, LAX-ARN.

Airlines: Domestic US: American, United, Southwest, Delta, Southwest, Alaska
Airlines: International: Norwegian, Air Astana, Aeroflot, Uzbekistan Airways, Turkmenistan Airways, Buta Airways, Wizz Air, Ryanair, Easyjet, Tropic Air - Upcoming British Airways

Airports visited: Domestic: LAX, BUR, SNA, OAK, SMF, PDX, ABQ, IAH, BHM, MIA, SLC, ORD
Airports visited: International: ARN, DXB, ALA, FRU, TAS, UGC, ASB, MYP, SVO, GYD, TBS, KUT, SXF, TLS, CCF, DUB, LGW, BZE, SPR

and to finish of the new year: LHR, DFW, PHX

40 segments total, most segments on AA-8

Was supposed to get a 737-8MAX ARN-DXB, but amazingly they subbed a regular 738 and it could make it all that distance! So no MAX or NEO so far this year.
Flown 2018: LAX, ARN, DXB, ALA, TAS, UCG, ASB, MYP, GYD, TBS, KUT, BER, TLS, SVO, CCF, DUB, LGW, MEX, BUR, PDX, ORD, SLC, SNA
Upcoming 2018: STL, MIA, BZE, IAH, BHM, LHR, DFW, PHX

Which airports did you visit for the first time in 2018?

Wed Jan 02, 2019 3:17 pm

We have threads for booked and completed travel in 2018, best flights of 2018, so I thought I'd make a thread to share which airports you visited for the first time in 2018? I'm sure many of us have gone somewhere we haven't gone before, I know I have. Layovers count, but please specify.

In 2018, I visited the following airports for the first time ever:
MSP
DTW (Layover)
BHM
DSM
MSN
DFW
LSE

2018 was a average year for me, but did fly into a few new airports.

Long Beach, interesting. Landed there at night so it was pretty much closed.

Worcester (ORH). One of the smaller airports I have been to. Flight was delayed so spent a bit of time there. Nice airport nonetheless.

PHL. Not as impressive as I thought it might be.

CPH. Typical European airport, though the gated areas felt a bit outdated.

Not too many for me last year, but perhaps an interesting smattering: BUR, SAN, DUS, LCY, MCI, TLL, HEL, RVN. The rest of it was a lot of connecting various *A hubs and places I'd already been.
