Hey there
For a school project I am looking for some sort of average seat capacity data for common passenger airplane types. I am aware that airplane types can have different seat capacities, it doesn't have to be exact, just an average value would be sufficient.
I use airplane data from: https://openflights.org/data.html#plane
Does anybody know a source where I could find this seat capacity data for airplane types? Best would be if it is in some sort of CSV file which I could process automatically.

@citationjet Well I'm loooking more for a simple list with ICAO/IATA airplane type and some sort of seat/passenger capacity. I didn't find that on seatguru?

There may not be such a thing as a simple list with seat quantities. This link to seatguru shows the seat count for each one of American Airlines aircraft. Seatguru has this same information for most major airlines in the world.

You may not be able to find exactly what you want, and you may have to put the simple list together yourself based on existing data available. Good luck in your search.

From SeatGuru.com, find the capacities of a type of passenger aircraft operated by different major airlines and calculate the average yourself.
