Does the first word out of everyone's mouth have to be "Source"? It's beyond annoying.

I'm pretty sure the OP didn't just make up the numbers on a whim. Cut the OP some slack and give him the benefit of the doubt. I have no reason not believe the numbers he posted.

I agree. Based on previous data, these look accurate to me. SEA may have gone up a couple places.

Excuse me.
In spite of this site going south a few years ago, for reasons on blatant display here, the rules still stipulate to quote a source with any claim.
Carry on.

LAS surprises me - there must be a huge number of air taxi operations, because last I checked there were fewer than 500 (or maybe just over 500, I don't remember...) scheduled daily departures, while the rest of the airports on this list typically are comfortably over 600 scheduled daily departures.

SEA has moved into the top 10 lately. Just unreal growth in the metro area and the airport.
Seems like everyone wants to fly to SEA! Except SK. Please come back.

SEA is in the news a fair amount due to growth with two hubs now (AS and DL). A lot of international growth as well.

The problem with EWR is space and of course NYC has two other airports. I would imagine if you combined LGA, JFK and EWR you'd have by far the busiest airport in the World.

Well, with the same logic, you can combined all the London airports and that would be even busier (NYC is #2, though, if you look at "Airport System" metric).

How is that surprising at all? EWR is not even in Top 10 busiest airports for years, while DEN had been 5th busiest for a long time (After ATL, ORD, LAX, and DFW).

Unless you meant DEN and SEA over JFK. SEA growth is insane, though.

Have you never been to Vegas? Corporate jet traffic is a huge chunk of overall ops. On bigger event/convention weeks, it's probably 30% or more. And don't forget about helicopters. Between Strip tours and Canyon runners, it's in the triple-digits.

Sorry to seem negative but could someone explain what these numbers represent? I am assuming it’s the number of aircraft movements during the month, but for all we are told it could be an internal phone number for the airport operations division at the airport....

Ok, I have been registered for a few years but have rarely posted. Sorry, I am learning. The source is OPSNET/ASPM. The numbers represent the Air Carrier traffic plus Air Taxi. That is basically the mainline plus regional scheduled operations. I do have GA and other numbers, but those vary greatly month to month so I thought the scheduled airline numbers would be what most people would want.

BTW LAS Air Carrier ops were 32,062 and Air Taxi 11,531....GA were 3,008.

I didn't see anything negative in asking for a source. Some people like to understand the methodology and look for other gems in the data (myself included). You can't do that without a source.
