Sierra Pacific in the US still flies at least one 737-200. It's been to MDT several times in the last few weeks.

In Iran. Yes this is a photo from 2018. It's a wonderful and cheap country to travel, and not only can you spot the 727, you can still fly on it.

Cargojet has an almost daily flight from KEWR to TXKF using a B727-200, I'm fortunate to see it fly over on a regular basis, Brings back fond memories of my first flights on Continental 727s to the Bahamas.

By "spotting" do you mean watching and collecting registrations or taking photos? In the UK the term has always referred to the former.

I spotted G-OSRA at Farnborough this year. Have a look on the web maybe for where she's off to next?

Was wonderful to see, especially as they were practically doing acrobatics with her at some points !

Cebu is one good place to spot a 737-200. There's a cargo 737-200 flying regularly, and it can regularly be seen parked at the remote gates.

There are two B732s with the Indian Air Force. I see them quite often at Delhi.

KYIP will get 727s from TSU , Kalitta and USAJet (which has two now), 737-200’s from Ameristar, Sierra Pacific and Northern air cargo. DC-9-10’s of USAjet,Ameristar, TSM and Kalitta DC-9-30’s from USAJet, Kalitta and TSM.MD-80sf from USAJet, Everts air cargo and Aeronaves TSM. Problem is it’s all Ad-Hoc so you never know when they’ll show up. Kalitta and USAJet 727’s are fairly regular as is Ameristar 737-200

Here in Brazil we still have cargo 727s flying, and Avior airlines flies the 737-200 regularly to Manaus, for example.
There are other Latin American countries with 727s. They're all cargo though.

You made me curious now, is Avior's 737-200 cargo or pax?

YUL and YZF in Canada are good places to spot 732s on fixed schedules in pax (i.e. combi) service and YHM for 722s in Canada...but except for the EWR-BDA route, they’re only used randomly now.

One more for 737-200s: YYZ has one on in a regular basis flying for Raglan. Tends to park at the "northside"... sometimes on the ramp by Innotech.

It goes to other cities occasionally. The schedule is on their website. LAS, BFI, LAX later this year.

There's a dead 727 by the old Tower Air Terminal at JFK. Looks like an ex FedEx Plane.

I had a fleeting glimpse of a 732 on Monday in TGU Tegucigalpa, Honduras. Unfortunately did not have enough time to see what airline as I was on an ATR 72 of Avianca on taxi for take off.

As was mentioned above, those Kalitta bases their 727-200s in YIP, but they can be found often in ELP, LRD, GSP and MQY (or anywhere else a large automotive production line is behind schedule). If you happen to be in Mexico they will be at SLW, MTY, PBC and TLC quite often. IFL Group has some 727-200Fs that hit the same spots, but are based in PTK.

The 727 that is flying horses around is Tex Sutton Horse Transport, and is actually a Kalitta operated plane. Hot spots for it at LGB, LEX, SDF, ISP and FLL.

Northern Air Cargo has 737 classics, but they might be done with the -200s now and using -300s and -400s instead. In any case, they live down in LRD.

The only other 727 I know about is the Peter Nygaard 727-200ADV that lives at LGA. One of the better looking VIP 727s out there.

IND has a 727 (without wings) parked northeast of the terminal. I think it's used for firefighting training.

Probably not what you wanted, but I saw a 727 (private, I believe) at LAX last year.

Would be Aviatsa, HR-AVR. You can fly this one between Tegucigalpa and Roatan.

There is a 727 pulled in to the Avocet hangar on the south side of LAL (Lakeland, FL). It does NOT look like it is there for disassembly. Wish someone knew more about it and would let us know. Couldn't see the registration from where I was.

You can find a couple of B732 flying domestic in Chile. One is flying for Mineral, IIRC a charter airline operating special flights for mining companies.
The last time I saw an airworthy B727 was a couple of weeks ago, Air Class Cargo, parked in front of the old terminal at Montevideo, Uruguay.

@CBB you can spot a lot of 727/737-200's which are no longer operable, yet one is ready to fly: LB B727-200 CP1366.

Article,, in Spanish, is a couple of months back, but situation is unchanged: LB is awaiting approval to fly.

Was it easy to book and confirm seats on the 727? I have always wanted to visit Iran, however, I have read the only way to book these flights are via a travel agent or in-person at the airport in Tehran.

There are several 737-200s based at my home field, KADS (North Dallas), one in executive trim, others cargo.

Bearing in mind just how ubiquitous the 727 once was, it's amazing how few one sees now.

Most domestic flights can only be booked from inside the country, but this is incredibly easy to do, even at short notice. If you go to their ticket office they will understand if you ask for any flight that involves the 727..and prices are often around €30-40 per flight, including a food and drinks service.

That's a 51-year old B721 used for instructional purposes by Aviation High School (its physical location is down the street from B6's headquarters on Queens Boulevard).

As for where to spot the B732---YUL, YYZ, and YMX are good places (YMX is Nolinor's base and YUL is the airport they'd serve in that area).
