Air France A380 Question - Exit Row Seats 10/11

Fri Jul 13, 2018 10:51 am

Just booked a return ticket on AF to CDG in Economy from JFK (this is for 2019). I have the option to sit in row 11 (A or F seat) which has no seat in front, and a window (unlike row 10, I believe) and these seats have more legroom. Believe the A380 does not have the latest AF cabin among other things, but am curious if anyone has sat in these seats and can advise? I've watched a few YouTube videos on it, but curious to get others' experience. Thanks.

If you haven’t come across it already, seatguru is a good website to check details for specific seats for a flight.

I've sat in an equivalent seat on an Emirates A380. I appreciated the leg room, and it also made it way easier to get up without having to interrupt anyone, since I could essentially stand up and walk forward rather than climbing over my neighbors.

Just keep in mind that it obviously falls under the same rules as an exit row or bulkhead seat - carry on needs to go in the o/heads for takeoff and landing, and your entertainment screen will be of the fold-up variety.

Thanks. Very familiar with seatguru but personal experiences is what I am after.

What do you mean by the 380 does not have the latest AF cabin? Talking about seats or something else?

The new business class isn't featured on the A380, yet.

There is no 10A. Only 10B and 10C. They are right in front of the door 2Left on the main deck, facing the F/A seat. Definately the best legroom, and the first one to be served... Inconvenient : it can be noisy as you are seating right next to the galley.

11A is another seat with more legroom (no 10A) and a window but less legroom than 10A/10B as there is a sort of storage box, replacing the 10A.

There is no seat 11F.
11 has only 11A/B/C & 11J/K/L

11L offers the same legroom as 11A (no 10L)
