Around January ~ February 1980, I took a Thai flight from Bangkok to Kuwait. I can't remember the type of aircraft, but I think it was a 747-200 or a DC-10.
If anyone has any information that can confirm the type of aircraft at that time, I would be most grateful.

Hmmm... airfleets does not allow me to narrow down the type of aircraft beyond what you have stated. It was definitely either a 742 or a DC-10, as those are the only long-haul machines that TG had around that time. Do you know if the aircraft was continuing on elsewhere (e.g. to Europe)--if so, I would think there would be a higher chance for it to be a 742.

Thanks for the response. Sorry, I was seven at that time and my memory is a bit fuzzy in regards to whether the flight in question continued on to Europe or not.

Didnt Thai still have a few DC8s then? Although I would imagine it most likely to have been a DC10 on a route like that. I can't recall the routing in those days either, but multistops were common place in those days. So would be interesting to find out.
