KLM 787-9 economy rows 16-18

Sun Apr 22, 2018 2:21 am

Any idea why rows 16-18 are preferred seats in the 787-9 on KLM? They seem to be the same as the other economy seats.

The ONLY selling point of row 16-18 is that preferred seats offer a quicker exit on arrival; perfect if you travel with handluggage only...

:alert: Be aware, this is a rip off by KLM - especially in row 16! As the seats up to row 15 have a greater recline, you will get the worst seats in the house with less legroom IF the person in row 15 is fully reclining the seat and smashing his backrest literally in your face! And for that you should pay extra?

It is not just KLM that does that. AA, DL, UA all have preferred seating immediately behind Economy Comfort (or whatever you call it on that particular airline).
Also the preferred seating is usually reserved and complementary for passengers with frequent flyer status.
