LH A350 or 747-8i

Hi,

Looking to fly ORD-FRA or MUC soon. Looks like Lufthansa are using 747-8i on ORD-FRA and A350 on ORD-MUC. I'm transfering onwards, so don't really care if its FRA or MUC. Which would you choose in Business and Economy? Any suggestions?

Plane wise, the 747-8 is much harder to catch as at aviation geek. The A350 is kinda special now, but will be as normal as a 777/330 is now in the future.

748 for sure. There aren't that many airlines flying one, so if you have a chance, I'd say hop on that one. The A350 is going to much more common.

Thanks for input, I'm thinking 747-8i too. A350 will be common here in Scandinavia once SK gets theirs.. Long life the Queen!

For Business Upper Deck on 748 will be best. Economy not much between.

But the 748 is and will be much rarer so id take to opportunity to get on the queen!!

I may be the minority here, but I've been onto too many upper deck flights of 747 (admittedly all -400) and personally I absolutely hate it. You can't basically see a damn apart from the concrete ground out there, and I don't think I'm too tall (177cm or roughly 5 feet 10 inch).

Personally I would try out 747-8 on main deck only, and if you haven't flown either, probably go one in each direction.
