As soon as I saw this heading, I came to post exactly the same thing .... you beat me to it but I'll absolutely echo those sentiments as BA don't give a flying fig about anything in the UK outside London! That's why we should all get on KLM and fly via Amsterdam when that's an option, given they serve more than double the number of UK cities that BA do .... rant over :x

Whether named after the city or not, doesn't matter, just that it has a city name on it's name.

Actually, I did name Air Astana in my list.

Are we doing airlines in existence, or do defuncts/merged count too?

From India there is -
Darbhanga Aviation (1950 - 1962) named after the town Darbhanga in the state of Bihar
Kalinga Airlines (1946 - 1965)

Air Santo Domingo (Dom Rep)
Aerocancun (Mex)

AeroMexico (named after the country, but also the capital city)
Air Panama (ditto)

Air L.A.
Aspen Airways

Burlington Air Express (technically owes it's name to BNSF, previously Burlington Northern, and before that the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad, which in turn originally derives from serving Burlington, Iowa pop 25.663)

Bonair Express (Netherlands Antilles)
And finally (for now) Belize Airways/Belize Air Cargo/Belize Release Me Let Me Go

Tehran Air...that will be interesting to see if it can compete with Iran Air for routes from the capital...

Mahan Air, I love their livery and have been about to buy a model of a Mahan Air Airbus or Boeing 747 for my aircraft model collection.

Back to topic....Air St. Pierre (St. Pierre city in St. Pierre and Miquelon Island)

Thread title didn't specify the airline had to be named for a city...just the name of a city in the title. Atlanta is a city whether or not the airline was named for the Atlantic ocean or not.

Also Cambodia Angkor Air comes to mind, but I'm not sure if it count. Angkor is the name of an ancient city, and now heritage site, not an actual city at present.
Fiji Airways
Air Tahiti Nui

« Tahiti » is not a city.

Nice one, saw their Caravelle in Frankfurt in the middle of the 80ies... Reminds me of another one:

Air Services Nantes - unfortunately, I never saw an aircraft with their titles:

Maybe I am out of date, but they sure (did?) operate for AF:

But since "city" is not actually the name of a city, it was tongue-in-cheek anyway - see smiley next to it ;-)

They were owned by AF-KLM but were and still are based in Swords (north of DUB) under an Irish AOC

BA is not Spanish due to the legal location of its owner.

The name is a reference to LCY
