Why would UA do that when they have the exclusive. Yes I understand Southwest isn't the home of super low fares they used to beA basic economy fare can be whatever they want it to be... it's not strictly to match ULCC's. They offer choice to consumers which time and time again have proven to vote with their wallets.
And did you ever think it could be Southwest matching United....
