Is it possible to find what aircraft flew a past flight

Mon Dec 04, 2017 3:12 am

I have a date, routing, airline, and aircraft type. Is it possible to find the aircraft that flew this route on this day? Sorry if this isn't the correct forum for this question. Thanks in advance

Do you have a flight number or time of the flight?

For US domestic flights, the Bureau of Transportation Statistics maintains a vast database containing every detail one might want to know about past flights going back to the late 1980s, including registration numbers. Select either the departures or arrivals links under "detailed statistics" and search for your flight. Without knowing the time or flight number I can't find your specific flight, but that should be enough information for you to at least narrow it down. At the very least you can figure out which DEN-IAH flights were operated by 757s that day.

Does anyone know how to find the same data for international flights? I'm trying to find what aircraft flew SQ007 both legs LAX-ICN-SIN beginning on June 29th 2017 and SQ008 SIN-ICN-LAX ending on July 14th (Its hard to give exact dates for all segments because of the nature of longhaul TPAC flights)

SIA7 LAX-ICN on June 29, 2017 was operated by 9V-SWM, take-off at 18:09 on June 29 and landing at 22:11 on June 30.
SIA7 ICN-SIN on June 30, 2017 was operated by 9V-SWM, take-off at 00:37 on July 1 and landing at 05:11 on July 1.

SIA8 SIN-ICN on July 14, 2017 was operated by 9V-SWB, take-off at 02:46 on July 14 and landing at 09:35 on July 14.
SIA8 ICN-LAX on July 14, 2017 was operated by 9V-SWB, take-off at 11:59 on July 14 and landing at 07:05 on July 14.
