FRA-TLV on October 19, 1987. It was the first (perhaps only) flight out that day and there was an incident just before we landed. Much concern about something thought to be possibly terror related but it turned out to be a landing gear problem. Turned out OK, though, normal landing.
How can I find out what type of aircraft this was?

It was more than likely on a A300 or A310 as LH used them extensively on FRA to TLV in the late 1980's, only during busy periods such as religious holidays in Israel did LH upgrade some of the flights to a B747.

I know it wasn't a 747 so must have been a 300 or 310.
