I have traveled several times on AA's A-321s in Y (extended leg room) and to me the seats on the 321s seem harder and narrower than Y seats in AA's other types of aircraft. Am I just imaging things or are the seats on AA's 321s indeed hard and narrower?

I've flown on both L-AA (32B) and L-US (321) and can't really say I've felt a difference in the seat cushions. According to seatguru.com the Airbus seats are 18" width versus 17.2" on the 738 fleet.

AA 77W seats are a torture and even being in Economy Comfort does not help much.

Row 22 on the L-US A321s are pure torture. These are the exit row seats right behind the wings - there are only seats B/C and D/E, but they are narrower with the tray tables in the arm rests. Not worth the extra leg room! Otherwise, I haven't had any comfort issues in the regular coach seats on these birds.

Just to be clear, not all Airbus seats on AA are 18", as the A330 comes in at 17" and the A319 is 17.7"
