Should SAS update or change its livery?

Mon Aug 14, 2017 10:42 pm

It's been around for almost twenty years, and although other airlines have kept theirs longer than that, LH spring to mind, what do you think?

I still like it. Maybe just an update on the fuselage titles so they stand out better.
Or maybe a modern take on the previous livery. That one I find represents SAS well and is memorable.

They should revert to the previous livery. In my opinion this one is timeless.

I do really like that their fuselage isn't white. It's more like a stylish grey. Thats something really special in recent times, as most airlines go all-white. In contrast they have the red engines and the blue tail. I like it, they should keep it.

I like the livery, enough color but not overwhelming. I second the thought on the titles, they should stand out more.

Absolutely, they should make it the default livery for the company.

I third on that anniversary livery becoming the main livery; good amount of color but not too flashy.

Personally I have mixed feelings about the grey they use. Yes it's not eurowhite, and may I notice they grey because there's so much of it especially on long-haul aircraft. On their current livery they should at least make their titles more visible.

The anniversary livery could be a good option for an update except for the way too large and too dark colored titles.

I agree that they should make the titles more legible. They could add more colour, but they should stay away from the 80s livery. Bands of colour are a thing of the past.

As long as they keep the grey fuselage, I don't mind them doing something to spice up their image.

Seconded. I often regret that I didn't get a chance to fly on SK when they had that look.

They would really benefit from an updated livery, the "Scandinavian Airlines" in the front is very hard to read sometimes. I was hoping they would introduce a new livery with their new A330s or A320neos, but unfortunately that didn't happen.

I don't think they should change it, I think it's iconic.

I disagree. The fuselage title is barely visible, and the engine color is somewhat random. Time for something new.

I personally feel whether they change it or not, they should certainly keep the tail and the font of "SAS", I find it classic.

Exactly I love this color scheme. The current SAS colors are hideous.
