Here's some examples:
A310-TS on TATL and Caribbean routes, YYZ-YUL is one I believe, gone by 2019/2020
734-AS on multiple routes, namely, SEA-ANC, YVR, GEG, gone by end of this summer, hopefully.
736-SK and WS, YVR-YYC an example
MD-83- AA, gone by Q12019, current routes include DFW-BWI/IAD/TUL/YYZ/CVG/MKE
ATR 72-200-WP maybe??? HNL-OGG/LIH/KOA
SF340- SIlver Airways, FLL-BIM an example
EMB-145 family- AA Eagle or UAX, example DFW-SWO, IAH-HSV, JFK-CMH
A343- LH on SAN-FRA among other routes
SEA, BWI, HNL, OGG, PHX, IAD, LIH; 717, 73G, 738, 739, A332; AS, HA, WN, UA

A310 - SATA BOS-PDL-LIS is most likely not going to get an équipement swap.
A318 - BA LCY-JFK or AF CDG-FLR are most likely not going to get an equipment swap.
A343 - LH's JUMP routes.
B736 - WS and SK but obviously there are decent chances of equiptment swap - WS to NYC seems to be 736 consistently (I found cheap flights LGA-YUZ-YWG vv with the first and fourth legs on 736, 2nd and 3rd on 73G) Also Air Algiers seems to have a lot of 736s operate some fairly consistent routes.
Why is flying so expensive? And why is flying well so much more?

Are these types really rare? There must be hundreds of them still active.

Why?

I say this thread should consider any types you can fly on, be they in scheduled operation, or available as a charter for or by enthusiasts. You can bet there are some cool and very unusual types which wouldn't be included otherwise.

Loved it! Thanks for sharing.
Despite the routes offered aren't that useful, quite an impressive variety of russian old dogs available...

Has anyone ever had the honor of flying in this company?

Aircraft:
Airline(s):
Destnation(s):
Possible retirement date:
Notes

Here's some examples:

A318
BA from London City to New York. And Air France, but there is a bigger risk of ending up on an A319 instead.

A340-300
SAS. Most long haul routes out of CPH. The ones to Asia are probably the safest bet. No retirement date announced.

Avro RJ (all series)
BRA, major Swedish domestic routes from BMA. To be replaced by Cseries (probably) at an unknown date.

B736
SAS in Europe. Used on domestic routes in Sweden and Norway as well as European routes from OSL and ARN. ARN-AMS and ARN-BRU seems to see a lot of 737-600s. But they are being retired as the A320neos are delivered. The last one is set to leave the fleet in 2019.

Dash8-100
Dash8-200
Dash8-300
Widerøe, uses them to and from the Norwegian STOLports.

Jetstream 32
Direktflyg and AIS Airlines on small domestic routes in Sweden.

Saab340
Nextjet, on Swedish domestic routes, and routes to Finland. They also have a couple of ATPs in the fleet.

Also in Australia -

Beechcraft 1900D: Operated by Regional Express subsidiary AirLink from DBO to SYD and CAZ
Embraer 110: The King Island Airlines web site indicates that they operate the type between MBW and KNS.
Embraer 120 operated by Skippers Aviation on routes like PER to LNO, MKR and RVT. The type is also operated by Airnorth multistop between DRW and ASP and on a number of other routes in the Northern Territory.
Fokker 50: Alliance Airways operates between ADL and OLP. Alliance also operate F70 and F100 on a number of regular FIFO charters.
Jetstream 32: Fly Pelican operate this type from its base at NTL to SYD, DBO, CBR and BNK.
When I was a boy the world was flat and now, some people still strive to keep it that way.

Update on the beauties from the East:

An-2: Easily flyable on scheduled flights in the Orenburg/Orsk region with Orenburzhye. Cost between 10 and 25€ per leg. Bookable on orenairport.ru, all in English, credit cards accepted. Highly recommendable. Orenburg and Orsk can be easily reached from Moscow and other major cities, e.g. by An-148 of Saratov Airlines DME-OSW or SSJ of Aeroflot SVO-REN. The An-2 flies between REN and OSW and from there onwards to Adamovka and Kvarkeno (night-stop required in Kvarkeno, cheap and OK hotel available) and to Svetly. Airports are basically grass fields, and even at OSW and REN the An-2 uses a separate grass runway.
An-24: Plenty available in Russia and Ukraine, the easiest one might be Motor Sich on various domestic routes in Ukraine. Very cheap and easily bookable.
An-26: Some in Russia and also with a bit of luck in Cuba (package holiday Havana-Baracoa to Cayo Largo, can be done as a 1-nighter)
An-74: With a bit of luck on an occasional Motor Sich flight, otherwise with Pouya Air in Iran (Tehran to some secondary cities, bookable within Iran, e.g. at the airline's Mehrabad airport ticket office)
An-140: Only 1 still active with Motor Sich, mostly on the Zaporozhia-Minks route. Can be nicely combined with an An-24 ex IEV (nighstop required in Zaporozhia, which is nice and has cheap hotels)
Let 410: Plenty available in Russia, such as Orenburzhye (orenairport.ru, see above, various routes in different regions) or Komiaviatrans (e.g. Syktyvkar)
Tu-134: Only 1 or 2 still in service around Mirny (Alrosa)
Tu-154: Only 1 or 2 still active with Alrosa, e.g. Moscow-Udachny and sometimes to the Black Sea
Tu-204: Redwings (gradually being replaced by A320 series), Cubana (seem to be grounded right now), Air Koryo
Tu-214: Redwings (unclear) and Air Koryo
Yak-42: Several available in Russia, e.g. Izhavia
Yak-40: A few still in Russia, and with a lot of luck on an occasional Motor Sich flight

Generally, most of the smaller Russian airlines can be easily booked at sales.bilet.aero (English, credit cards accepted)

Feel free to add.
