A tie between Deltas current livery and the classic Delta widget livery from the 80s/ early 90s!!!

If AA had more going on with the fuselage that would have some serious potential, but if we're talking current, my vote goes to KLM. All time I'd agree with NW1988 and say the Widget livery.

Air Calin, Air Tahiti Nui, Hawaiian, Air Seychelles and Thai (roughly in that order) among current operators. Oman Air, Uzbekistan Airways, Kenya Airways & Aeromexico all get an honourable mention. For the recent past I'd add Air Jamaica, LAN & BWIA.

I cannot disagree, except for Thai, which is starting to get stale.

And I would add the Air New Zealand "all black" livery and the Vietnam Airlines livery to my "best" list.

Thai, Qatar and Korean are also close behind. Korean might even be my favourite...

The LATAM livery has really grown on me.
Add that with KLM, DL, TWA final, and WY

I like Air New Zealand's, night and day compared to the first iteration which was simply the font change and black tailfin compared to the previous green/blue pacific colors, which I also liked. The extra black with the fern along with getting rid of the gray belly color was all it needed to look perf in my opinion. :bigthumbsup:

Alaska's would be a close second, very impressed with the rebranding altogether (although if my attachment to NZ's previous livery with the green and blue is any indication I might be a little biased). Even a little bit of a silver lining to cope with the loss of Virgin America, very interested to see future A321neo deliveries in it.

I'm in a minority, but AA (1968 and new) look great! The clean, bare aluminum of the old and the modern, expressive look of the new make for a great lineup!

BA looks good.
DL always looks good.
WN, Desert Gold, Canyon Blue and Heart, amazing.
TACA had a good looking livery too, with the red crest and dark blue and red tail with the gold parrots.
The CO Globe will always be a favorite of mine, naturally.
The rebrand of QF went very well, in my opinion.
The new AS livery left me speechless. Loved it from the get go.
America West had some colors that appealed to me too.

There are many!

I agree on Thai, that's a nice one. However I disagree on Qatar. Blegh, that's just plain ugly. Korean air.... well, nothing special in my opinion. It's getting a bit outdated, but still allowable.

I think the newest Alitalia livery is a great looking one. May also like CSA Czech Airlines and Kenya Airways.

I have a lot of favorite liveries, but for the best looking livery is debatable between Hawaiian, Cebu Pacific and Etihad.

But my personal fav is AC's now old toothpaste livery, controversial I know

Going to stick to standard liveries, not one-off special paint schemes (that list would be lo-o-o-o-n-g)

Current ones
Vietnam
Hawaiian
Azerbaijan
Gulf Air

Retired
UA Blue Rising
The TWA livery posted up-thread
Canadian also posted up-thread
LH with the cheat line and silver belly
AM bare metal

Hands down best looking livery ever was Trans World Airlines last livery before the merger with American. The colors and lay out were outstanding.

The best looking livery currently flying to me, has to be Alaska's new design.

Obviously this is subjective and we are all just going to be posting our favourites. All airlines listed are the current livery unless otherwise stated.

Finnair
JAL
Air New Zealand - both black and white variations
Qantas - 2007
AA
Virgin Atlantic- I think it's the latest one. Used on the 787s with the metellic red and slim typeface
BA
Airliners flowen in: 737-700, 737-800, A320, A321, 777-300ER, 777-200ER, 777-300, 787-8, A330-200, Q300

Midwest's livery. I just really like that deep blue along with the use of that gold and milky white.

Image

Aside from that:

-AA's bare metal
-United's battleship (as well as the blue)
-ANZ's fern (both all-black and mixed)
-JAL pre-splotch
-Lufthansa
-Singapore
-Avianca old colors (not the latest one)
-Vietnam

Azerbaijan Airlines, hands down. That striking deep blue with the light blue and white accents just works so well! It's so majestic and elegant.

Fiji Airways gets an honorable mention. So clean and understated yet so interesting and groundbreaking.

The tail is certainly unique.

But I love the metallic/pearl-like coat on the fuselage. Not many finishes you see like that.

I like Etihads new livery though I am not sure if it will stand the test of time.
Korean Air and KLM are classic liveries which are among the world´s best.
As you can see, I love color!

From the classics of the past, I love CP Air and Northwest´s Bowling shoe.

What a question ..where do you start?
BWIA
Thai 80s scheme (no purple )
Gulf Air 80s scheme
Qantas 70s (like the retro jet )
Air New Zealand blue and green stripes
Air Canada 70s red
Hawaiian
ANA current
Mexicana gold livery
Northwest Orient

That will do for now...

Blegh! Sorry to say, but what an ugly aircraft and I'm serious about that.

Surprised to see how many people come up with old and outdated liveries as their favourites. Personally, I hate them. Not the people of course, but the liveries. Current modern liveries are much better.

Hey guys,

QF Wunula Dreaming = FIRST

daylight = SECOND

Etihad current scheme on 747-400F tied with BOAC final scheme VC-10 = THIRD

Honourable mentions:
* Hawaiian's just replaced scheme on 717s
* Fiji Airways current scheme 737s
* the whole collection of BA World Tails, especially ones featured on 757s and 747s
* Air Littoral of France's 'tessellating birds' scheme on ATR42s
* Icelandair 'northern lights' 757
* Australian Airlines 'ochre' 767s
* Air Nuigini 'bird of paradise' A300B4
* Air New Zealand's original all black 777-300ER featuring the old-style titles and font
* NWA final scheme on the 787 (yeah yeah, I have it as a model!)
* United Airlines 'blue rising' 747-400s
* Canadian's final 'goose' scheme on 747-400s
* Varig's final scheme on 747-400s
* Mexicana's various patterns on 727s a la BA World Tails just before they went bust

Cheers
Bunumuring

PS: Virgin Australia's current scheme is THE best of any Virgin airline by far!
PPS: The current 'armless roo' scheme is the WORST Qantas scheme by far!

All time? Too many to choose from--the '60s-'80s were loaded with so many great liveries.

I think the LATAM livery is okay, but there is too much white.

I much prefer the last LAN livery.

I also think the older LAN livery looked good.

I hate the new Iberia livery (which I'm travelling on today). The old one was classic.

My list:
BA current livery - It looks so nice on the short haul aircraft
U2's new livery - I find it very smart
AA (1968-2013 livery) - One of the most iconic liveries of all time, shame the new one is so bland.
EI - Maybe a tiny bit biased......

If special liveries are allowed the Retro LH, KL and especially EI all look lovely
