Wish list for Kansas City 2025-2030. Hopefully the odds of the following increase when the new airport opens. I think MCI could develop a network akin to PDX, AUS or BWI in time.
JetBlue to BOS, FLL & JFK (why does B6 avoid the Midwest?)
Condor 767 to FRA (good chance of occurring and KC would fit the type of cities it flies to, KC's best bet for FRA service)
Volaris to MEX & GDL (plenty of trade between KC and Mexico besides tourists)
Southwest to SJC, CLE, SNA, PVR, SJD, OKC, TUL, CMH, (these routes should come back once the new terminal opens)
Delta 767 to AMS (iffy and most likely would be seasonal)
Delta 767 or AA 767 to CDG (better chance than AMS but still would be seasonal)
Delta 767/A330, AA 767 or BA 787 to LHR (needs to happen)
Aer Lingus A321NEO to DUB (vague chance)
Air Canada CRJ700 to YUL or YVR (possible but unlikely)
Westjet 737 to YYR (cheaper alternative to AC or UA)
Hawaiian or anybody to HNL (its a wishlist after all
Emirates 787 to DXB (fat chance I know but I wouldn't completely dismiss it especially if Dubai World Airport ever opens)
Upgrades to existing routes
UA A320/737 to SFO (swap out one of the E175s for a mainline jet)
UA A319/737 to IAD
UA A320/737 to IAH (same reason as SFO)
DL A319/737 to LGA, SEA and BOS
AC CRJ700 to YYZ (seriously, why does AC send CRJ200's on 2hr plus routes? Why not upgrade to a CRJ700?)
Increase FI to REK from seasonal to year round 5x weekly. Most of the flights from May out are already half full.
Not really aviation but a light rail link or at least a BRT between downtown and MCI needs to happen as well.
