With 2017 being a year of much change in the industry what new route announcements could we speculate within the next month?

UA is supposed to have an announcement about an LAX route before June.

B6 Domestic additions in BOS/FLL (CMH could be announced tomorrow since there's a route announcement there) and maybe a weekly B6 BOS-ANU if they don't get the BOS-HAV frequency. Things tend to heat up in September/October for transatlantic adds typically.
Also a strong rumor in Caribbean forum of AA MIA-BON.

Could UA go LAX-BKK? BKK, and Thailand for that matter, have no nonstop to the US. I could possibly see that working. Other ideas:

If the DL/KE joint venture is announced I would expect some route announcements with it. Say, MSP-ICN or BOS - ICN, as examples.

Based on the responses so far, here is what I think.
It would be nice to have a direct flight from CGN to New York, whatever it is JFK or EWR. CO flew EWR-CGN but it ended in 2008.
Nice to see United making an comeback at LAX, because it is an important market. However, there is no way UA would fly LAX-BKK. It might be a big unserved market but it is also an ultra long haul flight as well as being low yielding.

Wondering if there's a website that solely focuses on inaugural routes (e.g. a site that makes it easy to search chronologically/by calendar. Routesonline.com doesn't do that.).

It is rumoured that Norwegian will soon announce Dusseldorf as a long haul base with routes Dusseldorf-New York (JFK or Newark) and Dusseldorf-Los Angeles. No doubt Dusseldorf-Fort Lauderdale and Dusseldorf-Oakland will follow not much later.

Don't rate the chances of LAX-BKK. UA have left BKK. What about LAX-SGN?
