Aviation fans survey

Thu May 11, 2017 3:43 am

Hi, my name is Alexander, I'm a graphic design student.
The forum moderator kindly allowed me to post this survey invitation.

Within the framework for my degree project I'm going to create a motion graphics for walls of an airport. Just to clarify: it's not a real commercial project. First of all this content is aimed to aviation fans rather than for regular passengers. I'm going to use this data in my project research, because It's important to hear my target audience. I'm interested mostly in visual context and how people perceive aviation and why it's attracts them.

It won't be published in any open resources. I will be appreciate if you join to my survey: https://goo.gl/forms/wtM9QpoA244YTlha2

I took the survey, so I'll offer a few tips.

Don't ask for anyone's name, ever. That is literally the first rule of surveys.
Since you aimed this specifically to avgeeks, your results will be skewed. Most of the travelling public are not avgeeks, and those are the people you should cater to.

Hi,
Thanks for the advice about the name. I'm not a pro it this area. Although it's not a huge national survey, it's more likely if I asked friends, like interview, maybe. In my research it looks reasonable, when I report smth like, John, 23 think that...

And about avgeeks (thanks for this word, btw ;) My project started with that: I love aviation and I intended to make every traveller feel the same. Or make something fun, or romantic about traveling in general. How world is huge and beautiful... Sounds like project about everything.
There was no me, no aviation with its planes, power, technical aspects – with all those things that you, guys told me. Thanks again.
That's why I decided to make my project more specific. In fact it's better to fill an airport with aviation images, rather than vague, traveling stuff

PS
I talked to passengers in airports in the beginning. Well, it was boring and completely not informative, not inspiring.
