That is true, but flying out of DEN my options are more limited. No VS or CX. The lovely people at BA charge a big premium to book a x-x-2 seat at the back of their 747. United have 767's with a connection in Chicago but mainly 777's out of the other hubs.

In my opinion...

Best looking: 727. Its profile just screams speed and power, and it was among the first aircraft on which I flew as a child. It always gave me this funny feeling in my stomach during descent that I loved and never felt on any other aircraft. Honorable mention: DC10, MD11, IL86/96.

Most beautiful: A340-300. The sleek fuselage coupled with the hair dryer engines on those wings gave it such an elegance and grace on takeoff. I loved watching the CX 343s takeoff at HKG. Honorable mention: A340-200, A330.

Most comfortable: A380. The cabin was so much quieter than any other aircraft I've been on...I didn't need my earplugs to sleep! (Also, it being SQ didn't hurt either ^_^) Honorable mention: A340-600.

Ugliest: A 7-way tie between 757, 787, A320, A350, A380, DC8, DC9/MD80/MD90. All fantastic aircraft, to be fair, but I just can't like the "big forehead/protruding chin/droopy nose"...the DC8 and -9 remind me of Quagmire from "Family Guy".

Most uncomfortable: A320. The engines make this noise that just grates on my nerves.

If I didn't mention a certain aircraft, then I just don't have any strong opinions about it.

Like many others have mentioned my bias is based on comfort, and I actively seek out aircraft with 2- something seat arrangements. So of course my favourite is the 767, I've made a lot of flights on those, the highlight of which was being on an SAS 767 from Copenhagen to New Delhi watching the sun come up over the western end of the Himalayas as we flew over Afghanistan. By the way that 767 was named "Asse Viking" which was a pretty memorable name! Second is the 333 for similar reasons. I also quite like the E190, and am really looking forward to the C-series, which I suspect will bump the 767 out of my top spot. Of course my favourite to look at is the 747, I just can't help but stand and watch whenever I see one of those.

A380, no competition! Top of me bucket list is flying with them. Tried to book SFO-FRA-TLV for this winter with LH just for the sake of the A380.

I did have a positive experience with the A340 under LH. The bathrooms belowdecks are actually a brilliant measure. It's sad how the 777 killed it.
Deep down inside I'm impressed by the 777, but I hate it for what it did to my fav A340.

In terms of narrowbodies, it's 757 or go home! Part of that comes from being a UA customer, where a 737 is literally a sardine box with wings, and a 757 (especially the ones that flew across the pond) are generally slightly better

People might think me odd, given most contributors have listed various types of jets, but I like the old turbo-props.

There is just something about the lines of the Dornier 328P that I like. The cabins may not be anything special, although I do like the 1-2 configuration: ideal for a passengers travelling by themselves and meaning that the majority of seats are window seats.

747- All versions, Just beautiful, elegant shape and lines

757 - Love the shape and versatility of the -200

From Airbus: 340-600 - Love how long it is, never get tired of seeing one take off
380- The scale of it, feels more like being on a ship than a plane

Narrowbody: CSeries. Hands down the most comfortable, modern, quiet aircraft I have been on. I also prefer the A320 family and will avoid the 737, espeically in America as it feels rather cramped.
Widebody: 77W + A330. I like how the 77W is the largest twin and how graceful the A330 is.

Boeing has, for many years shown its aircraft's versatility and reliability. 737-the most successful aircraft in history and one of the most reliable and comfortable in the sky. whilst airbus has had success with the A320 & A330 families having achieved more than 1000 orders for each tpye, most of their other products have not performed so well in sales, 310,340 & 380 achieving only 300 odd orders & the A300 around 500 while the beasts at Boeing have achieved over 1000 orders on all family types, except the 707/717s.

Best overall aircraft, aesthetically the B757-300 but efficiency and versatility has to the the 737NG
