Not sure yet if MSN 36 is fully ready, last week it was seen with a missing parts.

Close-up photo shows that it still misses a winglet.

I'm not sure if this is the aircraft I saw in the Paint hanger today? Anyway, it's no moving anytime soon, engine run end of the month.

Any updates on the RR powerplants for -1000? F-WWOW not been active for several weeks after an intensive period of flights. Assume all going well as Airbus indicating first flight late September onwards.

I haven't seen MSN1 for a while, last seen about 2 weeks ago in the maintence hanger.

Quoting hkcanadaexpat (Reply 98):
MSN 28 (Finnair #6) taxing for a first test flight since completing cabin installation. Should be last flight test before moving to the delivery centre later this week.

Yes, delivery due within the next 2-3 weeks.

Airbus keeps the first A359 for testing, donates one to a museum and will sell the other three. Is it already known what will happen to the three A3510 test frames? If already sold, to whom? Would it make sense to keep one to test for the -2000 if/when launched?

The A343 prototype is currently used for the Clean Sky 2 project, the A346 prototype was stored in Tarbes between March 2014 and March 216 and is currently being worked on in TLS.

MSN1 is likley to be kept as a testframe and performed a quick flight yesterday.
MSN2 is around Toulouse somewhere and makes the airshow visits usually, so Farnbrough coming up maybe?
MSN3 is engineless in Toulouse, so unsure at the moment, but likley refurb.
MSN4 is stored in Tarbes (I think)?
MSN5 Refurb and engineless at the moment in Toulouse.

I do not know of an A345 test frame being kept, but A343 (Tarbes) & A346 (TLS) are in still alive and well.

Which is the next new livery for the A350 we haven't seen fully painted yet?

If I look into the production list (http://sites.google.com/site/a350xwbproduction/production-list), I would say it should be Lufthansa (MSN74, future D-AIXA). Any idea when?

Including paint, I presume

Three interesting points from the May 2016 Airbus O&D update:
> Cancellation of the 2x A359s on order for AWAS
> Philippines Airlines order for 6x A359s has finally been added to the books
> 1st CX delivery was actually from the Aercap book not the CX book. As far as i know CX had 2x A359s on order through Aercap.

Thank you everyone who contribute to the thread. It really is great to read all the updates and see what is happening with the A350. I am sure like many I cannot wait to see the A35K finally painted and with its engines and then completing its flight testing.

Just a question, is there a way to identify the MSN number when looking at flights for production models on FR24?

Not on FR I think. You have to compare the flight-# with the production list and the included test registration:

eg: AIB01GC -> F-WZGC -> MSN34

Rough calculation from Starbuck's spreadsheet. Average time from first flight to delivery, up to now, is about 8 weeks for QR, 5 weeks for VN, 10 weeks for AY (was much quicker with batch 2 planes, batch 3 planes took more than three months), and not quite a month for JJ and SQ. MSN 21, 25 and 28 are not (yet) part of that calculation.

There are 24 delivered planes, 7 in production testing, one waiting for its first flight, 9 undergoing cabin fit, 5 on parking stands (including the "final customer unclear" 3, previously slated for UL), 2 not clearly located, 8 are in rework (including MSN 5), one is being painted, 3 are undergoing outdoor tests after FAL, and there are 4 each in stations 30 and 40, and 2 each in stations 50 and 59.

How is the seat and lavatory situation evolving, now?
