MSN 37 (Singapore #4) is sporting its customer registration this morning, 9V-SMD. Should fly out to Singapore later today. 3rd and final delivery this month and 12th for the year. July equally looks slow. 3 or 4 deliveries tops. August has the potential to clean house if things start coming together.

July should see MSN 34 and 41 delivered. Not counting the Qatar frames anymore.

On another matter, I wonder whether CX will have more in-service A350s than QR does, at the end of the year…

Yes, CX will have a bigger fleet. My point was that, with the deliveries for QR stuck like they seem to be, when will CX overtake QR? It was not supposed to happen in short order, but I guess it might, now…

Are QR in financial trouble?

If I were running Airbus, I would move them down the production table completely, and demand in future they take their aircraft on the due delivery day.

They are simply not worth the effort for A or B. There are plenty of other carriers that would accept and pay for their delivery slots. QR are an embarrassment and someone should have the guts to tell them so and take action. The customer is not always right and respect has to be earned.

If a deal is made, then you have to play the game and commit. Moreover, since QR is more sensible to quality than to cost, it is difficult to negotiate paid concession with them, they don't care about getting a small discount to take delivery of a frame with some open non-conformities, which is usually how it works.
I think QR attitude will benifit the manufacturers in improving their On-Quality commitments.

I pretty much doubt that neither Airbus or Boeing can decide for themselves that a certain customer should have it's orders moved
down the production schedule. First all orders are signed contracts and as long as the customer fullfils it's contractual
obligation, there isn't much A or B could do. Just being picky about the quality is hardly a contract breach (unless there clauses
in the contract about the quality level or etc).
Secondly production is planned far ahead so a sudden larger change in the production schedule would likely be a major supply
nightmare, especially for customer specific equipment like seats and IFE. Then the other customers perhaps don't want to
receive their ordered planes to early since that would cause problem in their schedule with personnel training/educations,
retirement of the current aircraft in the fleet and etc.

I'm not buying it, it shouldn't take 4 months to address a quality issue.

I do expect this to be contractually delivered June, ref it showed its final registration yesterday, so Airbus should report three delivered for June

MSN 41 (Singapore #5) completed its first ER yesterday. RTO likely on Monday. First flight could also be next week.
MSN 32 (Cathay #3) should move to the flightline imminently.

I'm not buying it, it shouldn't take 4 months to address a quality issue.

Well, I myself didn't believe that an alarm issue could lead to postopone BER airport opening by more than 7 years, but turns out it did...
Just to say that a minor issue can require an impressive recovery plan, even more when dozens of suppliers and subcontractors are involded in a same work-package and when each of them is having its own dozen of suppliers to handle. And apart from supply-chain issues, you can face design issues. These kind of issues clearly take several weeks to shoot, even more so when you're not building a standard product.

The CX A350 on the left is MSN 39, the one on the right is probably MSN 38 (MSN 32 is located in another building).

MSN 41 (Singapore #5) completed its RTO yesterday. First flight scheduled this week. MSN 44 (Thai #1) was powered up for the first time early this morning. MSN 34 (Cathay #2) should have a final test flight this week before moving to the delivery centre for a mid-month delivery.

Thank you ap305. This new version of the "ACAP" document is indeed very interesting.

I used the updated document to calculate the OEW. My understanding is that MZFW=OEW+MSP
where MSP=Maximum Structural Payload.

From the above document I extracted the MSP for both the A350-900 and A350-1000:
A359 payload/range: section 3-2-0 page 2: MSP is 53 300 kg
A35K payload/range: section 3-2-0 page 3: MSP is 64 200 kg

The A359 currently comes currently is 7 variants: I made the hypothesis that the payload/range diagram is made against the most capabale weight variant: WV001.
A359/WV001 MZFW is 195 700 kg
Hence, the OEW is 142 400 kg

The A35K currently comes currently is 1 variant: WV001.
A35K/WV001 MZFW is 220 000 kg
Hence, the OEW is 155 800 kg

The OEW of the A35K is inline with various discussions on airliners.net. However, the indications by ferpe (Bjorn Fehrm) was that the A359 OEW was 135 000 kg...

That's a bit of an old discussion, the OEW has been 142t for years now.

The first A350 ACAP documents had the OEW listed, but now it has been removed.

As for the A350-1000, its OEW is exactly where Airbus claimed it would be several years ago:
