Airbus Delivers Its First US-assembled Jet

In the general indifference of a-netters,   Airbus has delivered its first airplane assembled in the United States.

Congratulations to Airbus and their employees who assembled the aircraft. BluesMobile is MSN6512 and is registered N965JT. I'm sure it will make JetBlue a ton of money throughout its time at the airline.

The first . aircraft built in the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility, AL, USA, JetBlue Airways´ Airbus A321-231SL - MSN 6512, reg. N965JT (test reg. F-WZMA), with the cabin configuration Y190, powered by twin . V2533-A5 twin-shaft turbofans (fan diameter 1.613 mm / 63,5 in, eng. architecture: F+4LPC-10HPC ^ 2HPT-5LPT), each 140,56 kN / 14.333 kgf / 31.600 lbf, flying on the route BFM - LCQ, was delivered to the customer on 25. Apr 2016.

I assume because it's produced under Airbus's production certificate, issued by EASA. Only when the aircraft is ready for delivery is it transferred to the FAA's jurisdiction, exactly as happens for aircraft produced in France/Germany for US airlines.
