Here's a pretty good article about it with a photo of the whole complex:

http://www.ainonline.com/aviation-ne...-has-sweet-home-us-a320-production

"Airbus Has a Sweet Home for U.S. A320 Production"

http://atwonline.com/manufacturers/a...r-first-us-built-a321-jetblue-2016

"Airbus Mobile on track to deliver first US-built A321 to JetBlue in 2016"

I read somewhere that the first A321 for JetBlue will come out of the workshop next month, March, but I didn't keep the article.

Indeed, it's been awfully quiet on that front, hope all is well.

Will this factory be producing the NEO any time soon as well?

It may have been quiet in the news, but ti seems to be full steam ahead. Here's more stuff, from January:

http://lagniappemobile.com/cover-sto...cipated-airbus-suppliers-lift-off/

"Since its official opening last September, the Airbus final assembly line in Mobile has increased production on its way to rolling out as many as four planes per month by the end of 2017, and has brought several suppliers with it.

Production is going very well,” Tucker said. “There’s no change to Mobile on outlook right now. We’re ramping up to ‘rate four,’ which means four a month by the end of 2017.”

In the three years since, several suppliers have agreed to make the jump to Mobile to be near the final assembly line — 15 in all — according to information provided by the Chamber. Of those, Hutchinson Aerospace, with 100 positions at one facility, and MAAS, with a combined 114 positions at two facilities, have made the largest related employment announcements.

Currently the facility is looking at an inaugural flight in the first quarter of this year and its first delivery in the second quarter, Tucker said."

So I guess the first flight will be in March, as I had read somewhere.

Well this is all promising news, I'm guessing the first frame or two off the production line are going to be subject to some extended flight testing just to validate the new line is working exactly as expected

I know that the line staff have been seconded to XFW to learn the production process...

This facility is only an hour and a half away from me, so I will have to try and make it over there to see some of the test flights. Great to see Brookley being put to good use, and some decent jobs coming to Mobile.

I work right next to the plant. Saw the first JetBlue out of the assembly hangar and into the next station. So the first one is already out. Sorry no pics, was on a 777 test flight when I saw the tail.

Well that's an interestesing article on two counts, one that it shows the first airframe and that there's already 5 under construction, with another arriving soon (guessing it's there now judging on the date of the article)

Secondly the comment on the article saying that of the first 50 aircraft out of the Mobile FAL only one will be A320 with the rest being A321 That's just astonishing
