Just speculating, but based on Flightaware.com's data for SSH and the current time frame it is possibly Ural 3250, an Airbus A321, to SVX.

Sat Oct 31, 2015 8:04 am

BBC now saying.

A Russian airliner has crashed in central Sinai with more than 200 people on board, the office of Egypt's prime minister has confirmed.
The Airbus A-321 had just taken off from the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh, on its way to the Russian city of St Petersburg.
There were conflicting reports about the fate of the plane, some suggesting it had disappeared over Cyprus.
Most of the passengers are said to be Russian tourists.
The plane is operated by the Russian airline Kogalymavia. Latest reports say it is carrying 217 passengers and seven crew.

The aircraft was EI-ETJ, an 18 year old A321 operated by Kogalymavia (Metrojet), and the flight number was 7K9265, or KGL9265. Looking at the Flightradar24 track below, one can see that the aircraft appears to climb very rapidly (from 30,300 feet to 33,500 feet over the course of one minute, something practically unheard of for a fully-loaded A321), then begins to lose speed and altitude at a very fast rate before the track ends a minute later slightly above 28,000 feet.

Not to venture into unfounded speculation this early on, but I can't help but think of the Air Asia accident last year.

What a terrible tragedy, hoping for some survivors.

Regarding the FR24 data: The aircraft climbed to FL400 and later descended towards FL184 within 14 seconds and reached 9300ft after 7 seconds. Latest data shows a 6000ft/min descend. That some impressive data if the data is correct.

Where did you find this?

Ok, first off of course its very early to speculate and no real evidence to jump to conclusions.

With that being said, my strong inclination is to an internal or external deliberate explosive action, which the flight data would be consistent with. Strange phase of flight for something to go terribly wrong. No reason to suspect a stall given previous airspeeds.

This flight was over dangerous territory where the Egyptian arm of ISIS has been in control.
They have some SAM capabilities and have downed aircraft in this region before. Theres also reason to believe of substantial MPAD capabilities.

Make of that what you will.

Yes it's very early to speculate but I can't help but wonder if this might be terrorist-related. If not then how about rudder failure?

RIP to all onboard. Seems this would be totally unsurvivable.

Whatever has maybe tragically happened, having piloted a 321 for the many years, I would suggest that the Fligtradar24 plot of altitude is unlikely to be totally accurate as the max certified flight level of a 321 is FL390/39,000'. With 200+ soles on board, the 321 enroute to Siberia would struggle to make FL370 (or even FL350) never mind above its max certified level without something very unusual happening.

My interpretation of the FR plot and accompanying data table is that the plane never got past 33,500' then a rapid deceleration & descent,

Now, I remember...US Airways had to weight restrict a lot of their A321s doing cross-country hops to PHL and CLT. This is a 2200 mile route that they're flying, and in a charter configuration. Is it possible that during the ascent to cruising, they were a bit too overloaded to be going that high that quickly?

I seriously hope this wasn't an act of terrorism in retaliation for Russia's Syria involvement.
