There is no slowdown of Neo wings coming down the line in the UK. Another 321 Neo will be passing through soon also.
Is there an upto date list of neo MSN allocations around?? We've surpassed the list on plane spotters.net

When do we expect the first 321neo delivery?

The new larger diameter engines make the A320NEO look shorter. More than once, when looking through posted photos in this thread, I wanted to call the A320NEO an A319. Am I the only one? I think I have a great understanding of the engineering changes, but it amuses me on the perspective change.
Does anyone know the monthly production rate of NEOs, ideally broken down by engine type?
I find there is much noise in the data I search (e.g., planes going out parked) that I am uncertain of the actual (with engine) production rates.
Has anyone heard more on the short field modification for the A320NEO? I'm curious if there is any fuel burn penalty (if not, I expect it to become standard):

- Frontier, CFM, rejected by the customer

If 5 parked is it, that is a tremendous improvement! (OK, partially as Airbus switched slots back to CEOs...) Bittersweet... It is a good thing.
The Frontier plane seems to have an interesting saga. Qataritis?
Seriously, if there is a quality issue (or vandalism), then the customer should reject.
StTim wrote:When do we expect the first 321neo delivery?
I second that question. It has been since mid-December the A321NEO, with Pratts, was certified. I couldn't find out who is first operator searching. All I found is that HA will receive in the 4th quarter instead of July...

At Bangalore Aviation we have a story by an industry insider on some of the PW engine problems at Indian carriers. I am not sure if A.net rules prevent me from posting a link, even though the story was not written by me. The title is

UTC says Pratt will ship improved combustor liner, carbon seals for GTF this year

TC CFO says GTF production run-rate in Q4 & Jan encouraging. Sticks with 2017 delivery plans of 350-400 engines

https://www.flightglobal.com/news/artic ... ty-433512/Speaking on a fourth quarter earnings, Hayes acknowledged that some GTF operators, especially in India, have reported reliability concerns about a fuel seal and a combustor liner. In response, P&W will deliver upgraded parts to retrofit later this year. Meanwhile, P&W has dipped into a pool of spare engines to help meet aircraft dispatch targets, he says.
“These are just normal growing pains on any new engine,” Hayes adds. “Nothing that’s causing us to lose a lot of sleep.”

It looks like for practically all A320neo MTOW variants, the engines are either at parity or the CFM is slightly quieter.

While technically as quiet or maybe quieter, the frequency of the noise has a big impact on how loud the noise is perceived, how far it travels, and how annoying the sound is considered (a high frequency whine would probably hurt your ears more than a low frequency rumble at the same dB, but low frequency noises are known to be a huge nuisance with many biological effects etc). So the PW could still be perceived as "quieter." There, frankly, is no great way of actually comparing sound levels as dBs have many limitations.
That said I have heard neither aircraft (Youtube as you mention is not a good indication of sound) so I have no opinion on which is worse.

Are you planning a party or another A321neo comparison thread?
Joking aside, Airbus said the first A321neo delivery would be at the end of 2016 Exactly one year ago when the first CFM Leap1A A321neo flight happened:
9 FEBRUARY 2016 PRESS RELEASE
The first A321neo equipped with CFM International LEAP-1A engines completed its maiden flight on February 9th from Hamburg, Germany. The aircraft, registration D-AVXB, was flown by Experimental Test Pilots Martin Scheuermann and Bernardo Saez Benito Hernandez. Accompanying them in the cockpit was Test-Flight Engineer Gérard Leskerpit and monitoring the flight’s progress were Flight-Test Engineers Sandra Bour Schaeffer and Emiliano Requena Esteban.
The flight lasted five hours and 29 minutes during which tests were performed on the engine speed variation (low/high), systems behaviour and to validate the aircraft’s flight envelope. The A321neo will join the NEO flight test fleet and perform a partial flight test programme to validate the impact on handling qualities, performance and systems. The first A321neo will be delivered at the end of 2016.
The A321neo is the largest member of the A320neo Family and incorporates many innovations including latest generation engines, Sharklet wing tip devices and cabin improvements, which together will deliver up to 20 percent in fuel savings by 2020. The A320neo flight test campaign has accumulated some 1,900 flight hours in over 640 flights since the first flight on 25th September 2014.http://www.airbus.com/presscentre/press ... irst-time/
