According to https://www.flightglobal.com/news/artic ... ly-220962/

MSN 8001, 8002 and 8003 were used in 2008 for the extend service life program of the A320 family. The article does not mention MSN 8004 however.

Has anyone noticed the German flag on the tail of..... most of the a321neos? Why is this a thing when it wasn't before on ceos. Its valuable advertising space for the airline and a flag against a white background is clutter.

A321neos are built in XFW and bear German test registrations. German aviation authorities require the German flag to be on the tail of all German registered aircraft.

Do note that once the aircraft are delivered and bear the customer's country of registration, the German flag is no longer present on the tail.

Another day, another delivery push.

With the delivery of the last ex-QR A320neo and the signing of the new A321neo order, the P&W saga at QR has come to an end.

CYYR is Frontier's standard tech stop with CYQX as a filed alternate. 322 landed in Goose Bay. 318 landed in Gander a couple hours later. YYR visibility was low in blowing snow at the time, looks like 318 overflew and diverted to YQX.

N318FR did indeed route via YQX. However N322FR routed via YYR.

Airbus is really starting to push these deliveries! How many aircraft have they delivered this month compared to when they were suffering from engine issues? I'm astounded :o

I think Donald Trump explains it well: https://youtu.be/u_aLESDql1U

In all seriousness, were the P&W issues really that much of a hold-up for production? With the orders roughly 50/50 across each engine choice - and me being new to such things as order books - it surprises me reading through that suddenly Airbus seem to have gone into overdrive!

Does anyone know when the two Air Seychelles planes will be manufactured? I am only guessing here because they said in a press conference that the two A320's they have are not performing and they have ordered two new planes. Maybe UFO's or part of EY's order?

97 CFM A320NEO (-251N)

110 CFM NEOs
72 Pratt NEOs

Not good when Pratt had a head start. :( Hopefully 2018 is much better.
WIkipedia had 49 MAX deliveries in 2017, 17 C-series (plus 7 prior for 24).

For these new engine types to change narrowbody economics requires 20%+ of the fleet to be the new types. That is 3,000+ airframes (we're a long way away from that at 238 a year). :(

Lightsaber

ps
Late edit: I notice from the link only 7 A319s delivered in 2017.

A319 1.25% of A320 family deliveries
A320 62.37% of A320 family deliveries
A321 36.38% of A320 family deliveries

I think we'll see a day when the A321 outnumbers the A320. We will also sadly see a day with zero A319s delivered in a year. :(
