Today it is 1 year and 4 months since the A320 with the PW1000G was certified.

All these continuing problems are worrisome.

What is the reason for this? To reduce engine strain? In spite of the fuel penalty? As far as I've seen on flightradar24, other airlines operating the neo fly at higher altitudes. Is the engine still not performing?

What the hell happened to noise performance of the LEAP-1A? It's even worse than the CFM56! Maybe typos???

https://www.easa.europa.eu/system/files ... ssue10.pdf

Noise levels were wrong, EASA just issued an update:

28 March 2017 - Revised noise levels for models A321-251N and -253N

I'm not sure you read all that much into the state of any of the current A319neo orders from this (other than the early customers definitely wont be PW). The A319neo was already built, and Airbus has completed or is just about to complete A320neo and A321neo certification for both CFM and PW...so onwards to the remaining A319.

Yes it does. How perceptions change.

The reality is the new engines are heavy. That weight has less impact on larger frames and thus the economics of the larger frames improve more than the shorter. So while I now 'eat crow' in that there will be A319NEOs delivered (all LEAP apparently...), I still think Airbus will lose money on the limited engineering/production costs but mostly the cost of flight testing.

I'm personally amazed any airlines are accepting A319s. There are *many* posts of mine predicting that the A319 would be cancelled. Look at how how *tiny* the ACJ orderbook is too, with no A32X ACJs delivered in 2016 as customers are waiting for the NEOs; peak year deliveries are only single digit after 2010.
Last year Boeing delivered one narrow isle BBJ (and two corporate 738s, but those will have far more seats than a BBJ).

GAMA has a great pdf on business jet deliveries (see top of page 13 for Airbus):
