The Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 TEN engine, which is designed to power all Boeing 787 family members, entered commercial airline service on Nov. 23.
A Rolls-Royce spokesman declined to comment on the identity of the first commercial operator, but three airlines have taken almost simultaneous delivery of Trent 1000 TEN-powered aircraft this week: European LCC Norwegian, Singaporean carrier Scoot and Air New Zealand.

I bet Virgin Atlantic would love to get their hands on some to get their Dreamliners back in the air.

In pictures the 87 to me does not look that big. When i saw the first -8 ( JAL in SFO), I saw it head on as we taxied to the gate and the size of those engines just blew me away. As a side note I was sitting next to a United Captain that was commuting to SFO to fly a 787. He said he loved that plane so much he would take a downgrade to FO to stay on it.

Is there going to be a special colour scheme on this one, as it's already got the registration, Chinese characters and airline name on the fuselage?
