Quoting apodino (Reply 2): Is it just me, or has DL quietly trimmed DTW back a bit in recent years? Correct me if I am wrong but it seems like MSP now has more departures than DTW, and a number of DTW markets have been either trimmed or cut in favor of routing pax through ATL. DTW was a very important Asia gateway for NW prior to the merger, and everyone says it still is for DL, yet DL is trying to build up SEA as an Asia gateway and seems to be cutting a bit of the feed into DTW that the DTW hub has relied on for years for its Asia flights. |

Quoting MSYtristar (Reply 10): 14 flights? Wow. Most ever from DL. Nice to see. |
Quoting Alsatian (Reply 17): I have just checked the schedules for March 5, Delta is setting a shuttle service between New Orleans and Atlanta actually. All flights will be operated by M88 so MSY will loose its 757s. ATL is already by far the busiest route from Louis Armstrong airport, this will again boost the numbers. |
Quoting USAirALB (Reply 12): *DL SLC-RDU NOV 0.8>0.0 DEC 0.7>0 FEB 0.8>0 MAR 1.0>0 APR 1.0>0 Hmm. A lot of people are going to be unhappy about this. This is the second time DL tried the route, and I would have thought it would have performed well with the recent RDU build up. |
Quoting JetBlueCLT (Reply 19): So, the BOS-HOU plane will land in hobby then go back to JFK and the JFK arrival goes back to BOS. JetBlue is defiantly catering to the Boston business pax. Just my 2 cents, I just don't see the viability of the JFK-HOU route, I wouldn't be shock to see that end in favor of the 2 daily BOS-HOU |
Quoting commavia (Reply 11): I still find it unfortunate that AA couldn't get the LAX-ACV to work. Like EUG, RDM, etc. - it seems like that market could work with a couple of CRJs to LAX. |
Quoting jfklganyc (Reply 23): They are trying a different approach now. Connect to the JFK intl bank. |

Quoting RDUDDJI (Reply 25): As an RDU weekly flyer, I was a bit disappointed by this. But to be fair, while I fly on DL most often to the West Coast, I've yet to take an SLC-RDU trip. It's just never worked out for me. I |

Quoting RWA380 (Reply 14): Good news for those people who I know that live in Brookings and fly 4 times a year for business. No ACV stop enroute to SFO anymore but still an EMB-120 with a 2 x daily service by next June. I doubt the CR2 economics would allow continued service to CEC. |
Quoting jfklganyc (Reply 23): |
Quoting CompensateMe (Reply 16): Yes, DL's expanded seasonal suspensions & reductions to a number of smaller markets from DTW (which had previously seen five weekly frequencies on average); some last for a few weeks (especially around the Christmas/New Year's Holidays) while others last the entire winter. But even with these reductions, overall capacity for the fall & winter remains flat. MSP's also seeing seasonal reductions to smaller stations like ALB, BUF, etc. |

Quoting Jetblue1965 (Reply 24): HOU-JFK-Caribbean is a painfully long detour compared to nonstops from IAH or convenient options via ATL/CLT/MIA. Especially when the competition is doing IAH-LGA, B6 should definitely cater to O&D and not worry about folks heading to PR or DR. |
Quoting ScottB (Reply 31): JFK-HOU was never strong for B6, and it can only have gotten worse with WN now operating HOU-LGA. |
Quoting Jetblue1965 (Reply 24): B6 should feel lucky that both WN and VX are busy up the road at Dallas, |

Quoting dtwpilot225 (Reply 33): I was worried about Escanaba with the reduction of 50 seat jets. Being a crew member who flies in there I have to say the ground crew does a fine job there and they take really good care of the crews. Folks will just have to travel 60 miles up the road now to mqt which will probably end up with all crj 900 or 717 service. Quoting PHX787 (Reply 4): |

Quoting SLCUT2777 (Reply 20): SEA-RDU would in fact work better, but SLC can easily make connections through bigger hubs at ATL or MSP. |
Quoting ERJ170 (Reply 48): There really isn't anywhere special that SLC offers that LAX and SEA wouldn't offer.. plus, the pax count to the sites show that: |
Quoting ERJ170 (Reply 48): LAX = 659 daily pax @ ~$500 (previously ~250 before nonstop flights) SEA = 263 daily pax @ ~$600 (potentially 550 daily pax with a nonstop) SAN = 207 daily pax @ ~$575 (potentially 500 daily pax with a nonstop) SFO = 525 daily pax @ ~$625 (previous ~250 before nonstop flights) SLC = 159 daily pax @ ~$550 (including nonstop flights) PDX = 131 daily pax @ ~$600 (potentially 300 daily pax with a nonstop) |
