Under PEX's website "Current Openings", it says "There are currently no positions available."

Any chance of picking up second hand AC and hiring crew for the certification process to obtain their own AOC. They seem determined to start operations by end of 2014.

No way they could get through they could get their AOC certification process completed in 2014 if they started today. Buying a current AOC is the fastest way to get flying for them. I am hearing they may be back at Xtra and giving it another shot. I suspect they have gotten some serious investments to begin the search for pilots.

They could buy/lease 734s or whatever and ask XP to put them on their AOC. That way they just can rent the AOC instead of going all in by buying them.

But a virtual airline doesn't employ the pilots either, it's only a ticket seller.

I know Skyking just went under a few weeks ago. It is very possible they went after it. I assume they would need to hire pilots in this case.

The Xtra deal fell through. Is the SkyKing certificate 'fresh" enough to revive or is it considered "dead?"

Rumor is that PEX may try the Xtra buy again. But..... They would not really need to hire pilots if they were buying Xtra. This has me thinking Skyking is the likely target. They have only been out for a few weeks now, so it is not considered dormant yet.
