Virgin Atlantic's Fleet Retirements

Wed Nov 18, 1998 1:36 am

Can any tell me which aircraft Virgin Atlantic is going to retire? I flew on G-VMIA and G-VOYG two summers ago and became quite attached to these particular aircraft. Does anybody know what the names will be of the new 747-200 that are joining the fleet after years of work with Air New Zealand and Cathay Pacific?

Sorry to break this to you, CX747, but I read a post on another forum
(by one BCALman) about Virgin Atlantic's G-VOYG leaving London Gatwick
for RAF Kemble to be scrapped. That last flight apparently took place
on 7th of this month.

On another matter, does your user name mean you're an expert on
Cathay Pacific? If so, you might be able to help with some
information I'm trying to find.
