Nice picture, what is the status about LH Cargos D-ALFF, MSN 1591. Has it been painted yet? It will be the first 777F in the new LH Colours.

As at the end of 2018, Boeing is reporting 45 unfilled orders for the 777-300ER.

Very few of these seem to be in production, which mainly features the early 777-9s and 777Fs. Is the production going on for several more years or should we expect some conversions and cancellations ?

If you go through the list of open orders only 12 are for unidentified customers. The rest are for customers that most likely will take all. I have no doubt that Emirates, Swiss, Korean and ANA will take the remaining birds for sure. I'm not sure with PIA and Aeroflot but let’s see what happens. As long as fuel prices are low a 777-300ER with a good discount and short delivery time still seems to be a very attractive alternative to the newer models that are way more expensive and have a very long lead time.

There was a report that EK had taken their final 777-300ER so perhaps some doubt about those.

The 6 remaining 77W still listed for EK and the PIA orders are likely the only questionable ones. Aeroflot’s isn’t right now- they took one earlier this year and their deliveries stretch out to 2021 according to PR from their order in 2017. A majority of the orders were placed in the last 2 years. Leasing companies ordering now already have customers lined up (they won’t speculatively order 77W at this stage anymore- and we know 3 are for BA) and we know 4 of the 12 unknowns are UA (the other 8 were ordered in 2017).

This is the breakdown:

Aeroflot: 5 (one just out of final assembly)
ANA: 6
BOC Aviation: 6 (3 ordered in 2018)
Emirates: 6
Korean Air: 2
Novus Aviation Capital: 4 (2018 order)
PIA: 5
Swiss: 2
Unidentified: 8 (2017 order) = China Southern Airlines
Unidentified: 4 (2018 order) = United

I would say that the PIA order is doubtful. The Emirates order is a bit unclear, but it looks like they indeed took delivery of the last one last year. It might be cancelled when they firm up their 787-10 order.

ANA 6, Korean 2, Swiss 2 and Emirates 6, would account for only 16 of the 45 undelivered frames.

Adding to that I also did read somewhere that Emirates did take its last 777-300ER already. No 777 deliveries are anticipated in the financial year 2019/2020, starting at first of April and ending on the twenty third of March.

No idea. We thought it could be either originally I think as both booked in the same month.

BA is definitely 4 now, and from Novus definitely, ordered in two batches as mentioned. As for the BOC I have no idea. They will have a customer in mind to order.

As for the 777-300ER there is a good chance the last built will be for BA. They are getting the 4th of the new order mid-2021 ish.

Boeing’s end of February figures show 43 unfilled orders.
The order of 4 , previously shown as Unidentified is now shown for United.
Unidentified is now down to 6 after two conversions to 777F.
No deliveries of the 777-300ER so far in 2019.

They still have six undelivered frames (I am guessing from their November 2011 order for 50). While they do not appear to be taking any more 777-300ERs, they could convert them to 777Fs (their current fleet is leased from DAE) or 777X or they could just cancel them and apply the monies to their committed 777X orders.
