Here’s to 2019 and what should be another whirlwind of a year for our beloved Frontier!
I’m Expecting dartboard style route announcements, 16+ new A320neo deliveries, further indigo/wizz/wow/F9/volaris/enterjet/jetsmart partnership announcements.
Cheers!

Something exceptionally random would be cool too...like DEN-GNV weekend service. But that's probably too crazy even for F9!

I have a pretty good filling DEN-BIL will be announced this year. Maybe a return to BLI (or even YVR, given their flights to calagary seem to be a hit).
GNV would absolutely win craziest route announcement.
I’d like to see MLB or DAB - both of which are probably just slightly more likely than GNV! I imagine zero difficulty filling planes to one of those two.

And hopefully, what season particular routes operate as well? I try to maintain a data base of all nonstop routes from SAN and F9 makes it impossible to keep it accurate.
I've really tried to search the F9 website and everything I've found there mixes nonstop flights with connecting ones. I simply cannot (and won't) take the time to search the booking engine day-by-day, week-by-week and monthly, route-by-route to figure out what route is served nonstop now and in the near future.
The route map for me is useless; I've eaten plates of spaghetti and meatballs that are easier to follow than the completely useless F9 one. Is there any form of interactive map for F9 that most other cx offer that make it very easy to know precisely which destinations are served from a selected origin city?
I expect the OAG would tell me what I want but that source is too expensive for me.
In a related matter, what is the easiest way to know thru what date F9's booking window is open? I do try to monitor this info be reading threads here on A.net but that can end up being quite a chore.
I'd really appreciate any help from anyone who may know the answers to my questions. Thank you in advance.

There are only so many major airports left in the US they don't fly to such as JFK, EWR, BOS, HNL, ANC. Personally, I would like to see ANC added and it is one major airport that many don't mention for new service. Now they could be looking at more Canada flying so that leaves YYZ, YUL, YVR as the major airports. I think it will be some smaller airport like DAB, MLB, EYW (dart board routes they will close quickly). My wildcard pick is KEF.

The Frontier mobile app has an interactive route map.
Jshank83 wrote:Not the most ideal way but if you use google flights and have it set to SAN with no destination, nonstop, Frontier (you have to set it with a destination first then take it out). It will then show locations that are nonstop on F9 for that date. Biggest issues would still be cycling thru dates but at least they all would show up for each date.
The interactive route map on the app sucks (shows nonstop and stops) and isn't up to date half the time.

Either way, looking forward to 2019!

The last thing any American carrier should do is jump into the Canada-Sun destination markets. 90% Canada point of sale in a country with no distribution presence ( places like flight center are still important in distribution). High taxes and high airport costs.
master14225 wrote:Then how does F9, B6, and WN do well on sun destinations out of BUF? Most of the pax at BUF are from Toronto. I believe today will have tons of announcements- mainly from RDU. But we are also seeing more gaps open up. Did anyone notice the schedule for RDU-BDL? It looks like the plane does BDL-RDU-BDL... meaning something else from BDL is missing! (DEN-BDL turns BDL-DEN). Ever since Indigo can’t into play my new tag line has become “Oh the places Frontier will go Thanks to Indigo!”

There's almost certainly more coming to the summer schedule elsewhere -- not sure if further announcements will come today or if they will be staged.

BUF isn't in Canada.
