Hope 2019 will be smooth year for the NEO program since Rolls Royce recently had a lot of hiccups regarding the Trent 7000s

Good to know that Airbus is progressing the A338's certification campaign. Hopefully, RR's T7000 would be cured of its hiccups soon. :crossfingers:

It seems EK has finally made Airbus cave in.

Just booked JFK-LIS on a TAP A330 NEO, excited to give it a try. I always thought the A330 was one of the ugliest commercial aircraft but it looks a lot better with these updates. I still think the winglets look a little off, but better than the "square" ish ones from before.

You're crazy!

From the back especially, the wing root dihedral and twist on the 330 has always been incredibly beautiful, along with the (visually) extremely wide wings.

Personally both of these elements have always made the 330 seem very graceful, and indeed it seems pilots feel she acts the same way (especially landing characteristics, etc).

Having said that, I don't mind the more "muscle car" look with the huge engine diameter increase, raccoon eyes, and the wing changes! :)

I really think I disliked the smallish appearing engines and squarish winglets of the ceo. Those updates on the neo help a lot. The nose is still kind of ugly though :P

Seems like AirAsia Grouip brought forward their delivery by taking two ex-WW A330neo . What is surprising is both are heading to XJ instead of D7.

XJ has added few pre-loved A330ceo last year, with another pending for delivery. Not sure if these two A339neo will replace current fleet which are mostly pre-loved, except two factory fresh A330ceo.
