Any news on the Primera MAX9, there were rumours that it would end up in Samoa island.

Still unpainted in Stall A7 with Boeing temp reg applied. My guess is it will fly unpainted to BFI. As the Renton paint hangers are now undergoing the same maintenance that the abFai hangars did over the last few months.

In one of the last pictures from the 2018 thread, there's a AS 739 in there. When do they take their first MAX? How many NGs do they have left?

I think there are about 4 NG’s left, and the 1st MAX9 delivers in June.

FR have the first batch due in March. (Or due for first revenue flight March) I cant remember which. They are getting 5 aircraft that month I believe.

How frequent is damage to airplanes being built at Boeing? I know of two examples currently, where delivery is delayed as “in production” damage is being fixed. And I don’t mean bulletholes.

I’m guessing LN7316, N37510 for UA, is one of them as it finally flew for first time 3Jan. N27511, 22 frames down the line, is Ready for Delivery.

not frequently. other than bullet holes there are scrapes (trees, other railroad equipment overhangs), sometimes rocks (thrown or rockfalls)... or hail.

Are the first Max's for South Africa's Comair in production already, when will first ones be delivered?
Presume first few will be in BA colours, not LCC Kulula

The 1st one rolled out last month and is behind the final assembly hall minus its engines. See picture I posted earlier.

I have not seen it roll out of final assembly yet. Boeing is slowly spinning back up from the week shutdown. Should be out of final assembly this week I suspect.

shooting inanimate objects (mailboxes, stop signs, speed limit signs, rail cars on a siding, etc) is a right of passage for teens and those that never mentally reached adulthood. some would say it is guaranteed by the second amendment. :duck:

2nd amendment shields no one from being held accountable for property damage and what is likely a precursor to violent crime.

N7201S (MAX 7) is out over the Pacific today, guessing this has something to do with ETOPS?

That area is a “flight test” area fairly free of other traffic that Boeing has used when flight testing airplanes out of Edwards and other SOCAL locations similar to those off the Washington and Oregon coasts — probably not related to ETOPS testing.

Interesting, thank you. I made that assumption just because it looks to be spending a very long time over the ocean... as you pointed out it's not uncommon to see BOE flights up and down the coast, even landing or shooting approaches here at EUG on occasion, but usually those flights are shorter.

It was an old disgruntled employee. He was arrested years ago and this is no longer a problem.

Engineers at STN have stated the first aircraft will arrive in March and will be used for familiarisation. Probably enter service at the beginning of April closely followed by the other four.

Does anyone know how long it will be until we see Virgin Australia’s first max roll out.

Given that VA wont take delivery until November I would say around September

So RAM are going back to the old scheme? I wish they would go full out with the new one. Especially on these brand new birds

What is the N1786B written on many (all?) green aircraft? Sorry if it has already been asked and answered…

That’s one of the several “N” numbers Boeing uses on green airplanes until they are painted. After paint in most cases they carry the customers registration. Airbus does it differently.

Just an opinion, but I wish the airlines (specifically WS and AC) would continue the paint on the outside of the winglet all the way down to the bottom winglet.

Also, does AS have a line number yet? When is the expected roll-out? And, how about any updates on the -10?

When does the Mongolian 737MAX roll out of paint? Looks like she will wear a new livery.

The AC 737 in post #45 has the grey cockpit window outline, I seem to recall that the first MAX delivered to AC had this, but it was later changed. Is this something regular that happens? Seems like it should be painted black like the in-service aircraft.
